Google Sites for Beginners: Want to create a website for your classroom? Need a way to communicate with your parents and students now that your eboard has gone away? Google SItes is the perfect way to do this. Class will run approximately 1.5 hours.
Google Sites: The Next Step: Do you have a basic google site up and running and would like to learn more about how to customize your site by adding calendars, groups, pictures, custom banners and much more? Then this class is for you. Participants in the Beginner class are welcome to sign up to stay for this class as well. Class will run approximately 1.5 hours.
Technology Open Lab Free Choice Work Session: Do you have a project involving technology that you want to work on this summer? Do you want to work on your webpage, blog or OneNote binder? Are you collaborating with your fellow teachers and want a space to work together with computer and U:drive access? Would you like to come to the lab to work and have Jessica or Paul available in case you have any questions? If so, then this is the session for you. The sessions will be for 3 hours. Sign up for as many as you like.
Google Blogger: Have you ever wanted a better way to communicate with your parents and students? Have you heard eBoards are going away and want to learn the alternative? Come to Google Blogger training and begin creating your own classroom blog. Blogger works best for teachers who have one class, like elementary teachers. Blogger is like an online journal you can share with your parents and students. If you primarily have links on you eBoard this could be the way to go for you. Class will run approximately 3 hours.
Picasa - Online Photo Albums: Learn how to put pictures on the web to share with students and parents. Create slideshows to share on your website or blog. Simple photo editing tool, too! Class will run approximately 1.5 hour.
Google Calendars: Learn how to set up multiple calendars in Google Calendars to add to your Google Site or Blogger Blog. Set up a calendar for each of your preps, any sports you coach, or to let parents know which day their child is responsible for snack. Learn how students can add events from a class calendar to their own calendars. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Google Docs Basics: Learn the basics of Google Docs including an overview of the home screen, documents, spreadsheets, presentations and forms. Class will run approximately 2 hours.
Google Forms - Surveys, Quizzes and More!: Learn to create forms, surveys, sign ups and self grading quizzes using Google Forms. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Projects with Google Docs: Google docs are a great resource for students. Have you been using Google Docs with your students and want to share some ideas? Come learn about projects you can try with your students and enjoy this collaborative experience. Class will run for approximately 1 hour.
Office 2010 - OneNote: Learn the ins and outs of OneNote 2010. This is a great organizational and presentation tool for teaching with your TEC. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Advanced Hovercam: Explore some advanced features of the Hovercam document camera, like making videos, books for listening to reading, and taking pictures/scans. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Spreadsheets for Data Collection: Want to know how to organize and get more out of your student data? Ever need to keep track of student data for large projects, field trips, or clubs? This class will teach you about how to organize and optimize your student data in order to help you become more efficient and knowledgeable. You will learn about MS Excel and Google Spreadsheets and how each can be used in your classroom. Class will run approximately 2 hours.
Where’s that File!?: “U” Drive, “C” Drive, Google Drive? Where did you put that file? What drive did I store it in? And how can I make sure that I can efficiently find my files? This class will show you the answers to all those questions as well as give you some tips and tricks to use in order to organize and manage all of your files better. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Prezi: Tired of boring PowerPoint? Sick of presentations? Do you like to think outside the box? If so, come learn about this fun presentation tool. Class will run approximately 1.5 hours.
PPS Tech Camp: Come enjoy a day of learning at our first PPS Technology Camp. This day long camp will allow you to explore many different areas of using technology in your classroom. We will be offering four 50 minute sessions with multiple options at each time block. Choose the class that peaks your interests and dive into learning. Possible topics include: Data Director, Google Hangouts, Blogging with Students, Not your Traditional Book Report, Fun with Forms - Using Google Forms in the Elementary Classroom, Animoto - Digital Storytelling, Online Book Clubs - Taking the discussion to the web, The Electronic Pensieve - Daily Five notetaking for teachers, Discovery Education - Beyond Video Streaming, Teacher Portfolios with Google Sites

Google and the Paperless Classroom: The Paperless Classroom with Google Docs!
Google Docs makes it possible to create and share documents digitally. This is great for the classroom, but it can also be a management challenge if you have lots of students and lots of docs. Learn the best ways to share docs, properly use collections, create dropboxes for students, make handout folders for teachers, use comments to provide feedback and help students revise work, make use of the template gallery, and more. The paperless classroom is possible! Class will run approximately 2 hours.
Cool Tech Tools for Classroom Management: Learn about some great tips and tricks for managing your classroom with tech. We will discuss tools like Class Dojo, Socrative, ClassBadges.com, and creating videos with PhotoStory or Animoto. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Blogging with Students - Tips, Tricks and How to get Started: Would you like to learn about some great ways to use Blogger with your students? Do you want a way to help students improve their writing in a real world way? Come to Blogging with Students. Class will run approximately 1.5 hour.
Great Tech Resources for Teaching Reading and Writing: Learn how to help students with their spelling or fluency with tools like vocaroo or audio pal. Create stories and enhance writing online with tools like Read, Write, Think, word clouds, Storybird, and more. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Blended Learning - Beginning Concepts: What is blended learning? How can this model help my students? What are some of the tools I can use? If you have ever asked these questions, this class will help you begin to process the possibilities of your Technology Enhanced Classroom. Class will run approximately 1 hour.
Blended Learning - Intro to Action: So you know what blended learning is and why you want to make it a part of your classroom, but how? This class will teach you how to set up digital sharing, how to process through implementation, and provide you with projects to get you started. Class will run approximately 2 hours.
