Take classroom learning to the cloud by giving students easy access to their work from any Internet connected computer. During this training session you will learn to use collaborative and fun Web 2.0 tools offered by Google Apps
Get ideas on how you can use Google Apps features to help students:
*work in real time on shared documents
*access documents both at school and at home
*participate on a class project web site
*dialog through blogs or group discussion boards
*enter assessment data that provides instant item analysis
Portage Public Schools has created a Google Apps domain for all users. By Fall 2011 all teachers and students in Portage Public Schools will have access to a Google Apps account that is managed by Portage. The user name and password match a user's network login. These accounts are managed by the District, thus ensuring a closed and safe learning environment for students, while gaining the benefit and experience of online documents and tools. Google Apps features to be covered during the session are:
Previous experience with Google Apps is not required. Class size is limited to 15.
